Expand your painting experience into a LARGER format in Oil/Cold Wax Medium!

In this workshop we will go a bigger and bolder- for a new experience with your abstract paintings in oil and cold wax medium. This workshop is for artists who have some experience using oil and cold wax and have the desire to work a little larger! We will explore art elements, mark making, color palette choices -working on a larger panel.  This workshop will be challenging and fun, while helping you unleash your creativity as you “build” your larger paintings. Trusting your intuitive self, with personal guidance and demos, this workshop will help you push your paintings further! Join me in this new cold wax workshop and go a little Bigger & Bolder!

Artists will be encouraged to work in the 16x20 to 20x20- size range.

Supplies:

Assortment of oil paint colors, 1-3 pre-gessoed panels -size 20x20 or 16x20-(may be flat or cradled) -According to how fast or slowly you work determines how many panels you should bring,  a trowel style or inset painting knife (4inch), soft brayer, 2-inch blue tape, Gamblin Gamsol (odorless mineral spirits solvent), Spray bottle for solvent, Messermeister dough scrapper(found in bakery shops or Amazon) or Princeton Creative Catalyst Silicone Wedge #1or #6 (used to push and pull paint), anything to make texture in paint (Examples-Stencils, stamps, mesh, cheesecloth, corrugated cardboard pieces, tissue paper, wax paper. etc…),  Easel-bring your own-if you prefer working on an easel, Freezer paper for palette, wet wipes for easy clean-up, paper towels, kitchen wax paper for transporting wet paintings.
