This lively class encourages students to loosen up their figurative animal artwork techniques with a makeover— simply by utilizing color theory! Starting with a brighter, unconventionally colored ground, workshop participants will use Charvin Extra Fine Artist’s Acrylics, unique cropping methods, and color schemes they might not normally consider to give animal artwork a bright, modern twist. This class is designed not only to push your comfort zone and try new things, but have fun in a creatively supported, high energy atmosphere while doing it! Instructor will provide carefully selected reference photos that students can choose from for their artwork. Class handouts will also be provided on color theory, composition and more to students, to take home for future reference.

This class is sponsored by Jerry’s Artarama Jerry’s LIVE Show: Charvin Extra Fine Artist’s Acrylics, Centurion Linen Panels, a small set of Pro Stroke Powercryl Brushes, spray misting bottles, and a palette knife will be provided at no additional cost!

Students will need their own palette or palette paper pad and a table or travel easel.
